The XstoolLaoxoon began as a study of intersecting cylinders for the analysis of structural stress columns. Quickly this became a problem of vorticity and rotation and hysteresis.  Using fluid dynamics with high surface tension, i realized i could generate a structural system with less than the required surface of the cylinder and which would heighten the topology between the cylinders with a interweaving mesh.  18″h, 16″w, 20″d.  Contact Paul Johnson Trading Gallery.
